Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and Ishan Chanuka Kodippiliarachchi of Sri Lanka ("we", "us"), who makes Haul. By installing or using Haul, its phone app or its online services, you agree to them.

Using Haul

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Haul under your plan. You may use it at home or at work. You may not resell Haul, remove its licence checks, or reverse engineer it except where the law allows.

Plans

• Free costs nothing and needs no account. Faster split downloads are limited to 10 GB a day.
• Plus is a one-time purchase for the current major version of Haul (for example every 1.x release), on up to 3 PCs at a time. It doesn't expire. The next major version may need a paid upgrade; Haul never installs it unless you choose to.
• Premium is a subscription, billed monthly or yearly, on up to 3 PCs at a time. It renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from Settings → Plan → Manage subscription; Premium then stays on until the end of the period you paid for.
• The Premium trial lasts 14 days, once per account, needs no payment details, and ends on its own.

A paid plan is tied to your account and checked by Haul about once a day. You can move it between PCs by deactivating one in Settings → Plan.

Payments

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Prices include or add sales tax as your country requires, shown at checkout. Refunds are covered by our refund policy.

Acceptable use

Only download content you have the right to download. Don't use Haul to break the law, to get around copy protection (Haul refuses DRM-protected content), or to overload or attack other people's servers. You are responsible for what you download and how you use it. We may suspend an account used to abuse our services.

Our online services

Sign-in, licences and the phone remote rely on our server. We work to keep it available but can't promise it will never be interrupted; downloading never depends on it, and paid plans keep working offline as described on the pricing page. We may change or improve the services over time.

Warranty and liability

Haul is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data or lost profits. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer that can't be limited by agreement.

Ending

You can stop using Haul at any time and ask us to delete your account. If you break these terms we may end your access to paid features and our services.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.

Changes and contact
